Faithfullness

I have a question. I am hoping that someone who reads this can let me know. Is faithfullness all that God requires? I have been wrestling with this question for nearly a week and can't seem to find the answer. If anyone knows or has any ideas please feel free to let me know.

What is faithfulness?

Good question. I plan to have more on that later. But for now I was told that God wants you to be faithful to Him in all that you do. Basically don't let Him down. That when He calls on you to do something He knows that you will do it and do it to the best of your ability, and with a willing heart.

2 : steadfast in affection or allegiance : LOYAL
3 : firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty : CONSCIENTIOUS
4 : given with strong assurance : BINDING /a faithful promise/
5 : true to the facts, to a standard, or to an original.

Because of #3 I could say faithfulness is in just about everything. I'm choosing to be faithful by going the speed limit, by keeping my house clean, by showing up on time, being a person of my word. By following every single guideline laid out in His word. When He comes, will He find that I have put myself first, or making sure others see Him in me first? Did I watch gilmore girls instead of helping someone clean my church? Did I read my book instead of visiting someone in the church that I knew was sick?

If I'm a "Living sacrifice" why is it I have God's body (mine that I gave Him) do what I want to do, rather than what He wants me to do?

Everyone believes they'll be faithful in the big things, but God first tests us with whether we'll be faithful in the small things. Unfortunately, that's where we tend to fall short.
